Summer !

As a Cypriot, there's nothing quite like spending summer with family on our beautiful island. The sun, the beach, and the warm waters of the Mediterranean are the perfect combination to recharge our batteries and make memories that will last a lifetime.

One of my favorite summer traditions is spending lazy days on the beach with my family. We bring our beach umbrellas, towels, and sunscreen, and spend hours swimming, lounging, and enjoying each other's company. There's something so refreshing about feeling the sun on our skin and the salty sea breeze in our hair.

And when we're not at the beach, there's no shortage of things to do in Cyprus during the summer. From exploring the historic villages and ancient ruins, to indulging in the delicious local cuisine, there's always something to see and experience.

But at the end of the day, it's the time spent with family that makes summer in Cyprus truly special. Whether we're sharing a meal at home or enjoying a night out, it's the moments we spend together that make this season so memorable.

Summer is truly the perfect time to curl up with a good book and escape into a world of imagination and possibility. With longer days and warmer temperatures, we have the luxury of time to dive into that novel we've been meaning to read or finally tackle that non-fiction book we've been putting off.

Whether we're lounging on the beach or relaxing in the shade of a tree, reading is the perfect way to unwind and recharge. It allows us to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enter into a world of our own, one where we can explore new ideas, perspectives, and stories.

Plus, summer is also a great time to catch up on some of the classics or discover new authors. With the abundance of free time that the season brings, we can finally make our way through those lengthy novels that we've always wanted to read.

In Cyprus, where the summer is long and beautiful, reading is a beloved pastime. Whether we're enjoying a book on the balcony with a cool drink or settling in for a quiet afternoon in the shade, reading is a great way to make the most of the season.

One of our most memorable summer adventures in Cyprus was when we took the kids to the Thalassa museum. It was a hot day, and we were looking for something fun and educational to do indoors. The museum did not disappoint!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a giant replica of a sea turtle, and the kids were immediately fascinated. We spent hours exploring the different exhibits and learning about the history and culture of Cyprus's relationship with the sea. We saw ancient artifacts, interactive displays, and even got to touch some live sea creatures in a touch tank.

The kids were in awe of the beautiful shells, colorful fish, and fascinating stories of shipwrecks and underwater discoveries. It was a great way to keep them entertained while also teaching them about the environment and history of our island home.

Oh, and I can't forget about the joy that my kids bring to our summer adventures in Cyprus. Seeing their faces light up as they build sandcastles, jump in the waves, and explore the island's natural wonders is truly priceless. Watching them make new friends and create memories that they'll cherish for years to come is one of the highlights of my summer.

As a parent, I know how important it is to take time to connect with our children, and summer in Cyprus provides the perfect opportunity to do just that. From swimming and hiking to trying new foods and immersing ourselves in the local culture, we create lasting memories together that we'll always treasure.

So if you're planning a summer vacation with your family, consider Cyprus. You won't find a more beautiful, welcoming, and family-friendly destination anywhere else in the world.
